Nominations are open for the Royal Society Davy Medal 2026. This medal is awarded to an excellent researcher within the area of chemistry. The medal is called after Humphry Davy FRS, the chemist and inventor of the Davy Lamp, and was first awarded in 1877.

The Davy Medal 2025 is awarded to Professor Andrew Cooper FRS for creating progressive digital approaches to chemistry that mix first-ideas computational chemistry, autonomous robots and synthetic intelligence. Professor Andrew Cooper FRS want to thank Professor Graeme Day for his contributions to their work on computational supplies design.

Award

• The medal is fabricated from bronze. It is awarded yearly and is accompanied by a present of £2,000.

Eligibility

• Open to UK/Commonwealth/Republic of Ireland residents or those that have been residents for 3 or extra years.
• There are not any restrictions on profession stage and nominations will stay legitimate and shall be thought-about by the award choice committee all through three nomination cycles.
• Teams or teams could now be nominated for this award.
