Are you keen about social justice and able to advance gender fairness in South Africa? Applications are open for the Rise Up Together Leadership & Advocacy Program 2026.

Global nonprofit Rise Up Together will choose a bunch of visionary native leaders in South Africa’s Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal Provinces to take part of their Leadership and Advocacy Accelerator coaching from April 13–18, 2026, to strengthen gender fairness and justice. Through Rise Up Together’s program, these leaders will advance transformative change of their organizations and communities, and champion improved nationwide and native legal guidelines, packages, and funding for girls, women, and gender-nonconforming folks.

Benefits

• Rise Up Together will cowl all prices associated to program participation, together with transportation, lodging, meals, and supplies.
• After finishing the Accelerator, leaders are eligible to apply for as much as $17,000 in seed funding to launch a programs-change gender fairness advocacy venture.
• Leaders even have the OPPORTUNITY to apply for an extra spherical of funding to develop, strengthen, or construct upon their preliminary venture.

Eligibility

• Open to civil society leaders between the ages of 18-60 years previous.
• Currently working in Gauteng and/or KwaZulu-Natal Provinces.
• Have a private curiosity and present dedication to selling gender fairness broadly within the three precedence areas of well being, training, and financial alternative for girls, women, and gender-nonconforming folks.
• Represent or work intently with marginalized teams from socially or economically marginalized communities, ladies and women with disabilities, ethnic and/or spiritual minorities, and/or different traditionally deprived populations.
• Ability to take part in an in-individual coaching from April 13-18, 2026, with some digital periods pre- and put up-workshop.
• Currently work at a non-revenue group, civil society group, media group, or authorities group at a degree of coordination or administration and have some degree of determination-making energy.
• Have the help of your group’s management to take part in Rise Up Together’s Leadership and Advocacy Accelerator coaching.
• To be eligible for a grant, Rise Up Together requires organizations to be legally registered in-nation and set as much as obtain worldwide funds. Entities that aren’t registered will be sponsored by one other monetary entity or fiscal sponsor. Note: Government organizations will not be eligible to obtain grants by means of this program.
• Proficient in oral and written English.
