1. Full Scholarship Coverage

  • Tuition Waiver
    • PhD: RMB 40,000/12 months
    • Master’s: RMB 30,000/12 months
  • Monthly Stipend
    • PhD: RMB 2,500/month (minimal whole ≥ RMB 3,500/month with extra help)
    • Master’s: RMB 2,000/month (minimal whole ≥ RMB 3,000/month with extra help)
  • Accommodation
    • Basic lodging supplied in Beijing
    • Support organized for research at CAS institutes outdoors Beijing
  • Medical Insurance
  • Application Fee Waiver
  • Duration
    • Up to 36 months (no extension)

2. Partial Scholarship Coverage

  • Tuition waiver
  • Medical insurance coverage
  • Application price waiver
  • Master’s/PhD: as much as 36 months
  • Joint packages & visiting college students: 6–24 months

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be non-Chinese residents with a legitimate international passport
  • Be proficient in English or Chinese
  • Meet UCAS admission necessities for worldwide college students
  • Not maintain one other scholarship or task throughout the funding interval
  • PhD candidates: born after 1 January 1991
  • Master’s candidates: born after 1 January 1996
  • Senior visiting college students: born after 1 January 1981
  • Regular visiting college students: born after 1 January 1986
  • Joint program candidates: no age restrict
  • Applicants presently learning for the identical diploma degree in China are not eligible
  • Applicants could apply with just one supervisor

  • Call for 2026 Visiting Students Programs for International Students

Online Application

  • Apply through the UCAS Online Admission System for International Students
  • Select “UCAS Scholarship for International Students” throughout application

Application Deadline

  • Master’s & PhD packages: 31 January 2026 (Beijing Time)
  • Senior & Regular Visiting Students: No mounted deadline

Additional Information

  • Scholarship length and situations can be said within the Admission Notice
  • Awardees should adjust to UCAS and CAS laws, together with annual evaluations
  • All analysis outputs throughout the scholarship interval should acknowledge:
    “Sponsored by UCAS Scholarship for International Students”
