IEEE-USA Government Fellowship Program (2026–2027)
The IEEE-USA Government Fellowship Program presents a novel alternative for certified U.S. IEEE members to function coverage advisors throughout the U.S. federal authorities. Each 12 months, chosen Fellows spend one 12 months in Washington, DC, working straight with the U.S. Congress or the U.S. Department of State, serving to form public coverage by science, know-how, and engineering experience.
Established in 1973, this system connects STEM professionals with policymakers to strengthen evidence-based decision-making and promote the general public good.

Applicants might apply to one of many following fellowships:
Congressional Fellowship
Serve as a technical advisor to a U.S. Senator, Representative, or Congressional Committee on Capitol Hill.
Engineering & Diplomacy Fellowship (U.S. Department of State)
Provide STEM experience to the U.S. State Department whereas contributing to international coverage and worldwide diplomacy.
Congressional Electric Grid Policy Fellowship (NEW)
Support congressional places of work and committees engaged on electrical grid and power coverage, leveraging specialised technical experience.
