Director of Grantmaking – Rasmuson Foundation

Rasmuson Foundation is a personal household philanthropy devoted to empowering Alaskans to help each other. The Foundation invests, connects, and convenes Alaskans whereas awarding grants to Alaska-based nonprofits, Tribes, and authorities entities. Salary Range: $138,091 – $207,136

Role Overview

The Director of Grantmaking gives strategic and operational management for the Foundation’s grant applications. This function oversees the complete lifecycle of grants—from improvement and applicant engagement to award, monitoring, and close-out—guaranteeing alignment with the Foundation’s mission, imaginative and prescient, and values. The Director fosters collaboration, uplifts grantees, and represents the Foundation at nationwide, regional, and native ranges.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise grantmaking employees, offering teaching {and professional} improvement.

• Oversee grant applications, guaranteeing alignment with Foundation priorities and values.

• Continuously enhance grantmaking processes for effectivity, fairness, and grantee-friendliness.

• Review proposals, coordinate peer assessment, and put together board supplies and proposals.

• Build trust-based relationships with neighborhood leaders, companions, and funders.

• Ensure compliance with IRS laws, authorized necessities, and greatest practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressively accountable work expertise in nonprofit, authorities, or tribal management; 3+ years in direct individuals administration.

• Proven expertise directing and managing grants.

• Strong written and verbal communication, consensus-building, and undertaking administration abilities.

• Knowledge of Alaska’s nonprofit sector and philanthropy most popular.

• Master’s diploma most popular (expertise can substitute).

• Occasional journey; legitimate driver’s license required.
