The Hans Günter Brauch Foundation (HGBS) yearly awards the International Science Prize for Peace and Ecology within the Anthropocene, recognizing excellent scholarly contributions that discover the intersection of peace, world environmental change, and social justice within the Anthropocene period.

The theme for the 2025 International Science Prize is:

“Impacts of Wars and Global Environmental Change and Climate Change on Food Insecurity, Hunger and Migration”

This 12 months’s name invites scientific contributions that study the linkages between violent battle, environmental degradation, meals crises, and displacement, throughout the broader context of the Anthropocene.

The third International Science Prize (ISP 2025) will probably be awarded on 9 October 2025 in Mosbach, Germany.

About the Prize

The HGBS helps two science prizes:

• A native science prize for highschool college students in Neckar-Odenwald County, South Germany

• The International Science Prize awarded yearly to a world scholar or students

The ISP is financially supported by the Hans Günter Brauch Foundation and honors modern analysis in peace and ecology, particularly as they intersect with world local weather and environmental change.

Application & Nomination Guidelines

Who Can Apply:

• Scholars from any nation

• Applicants will need to have obtained a PhD

• Submissions should embody authentic scholarly work authored by the applicant

How to Participate:

The HGBS accepts entries by means of three pathways:

• Direct application from particular person students

• Nominations by college professors or heads of analysis institutes

• Recommendations from scientific publishers primarily based on peer-reviewed literature

Required Application Documents:

• A printed e-book or manuscript (peer-reviewed, printed after January 2020) or an unpublished dissertation/habilitation

• PDF of the e-book/manuscript
