Call for Applications: Public Intellectuals Program Ninth Cohort (2025-2027)


The National Committee on United States-China Relations is happy to announce the ninth spherical of its Public Intellectuals Program (PIP), generously funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York. This two-year initiative goals to nurture the following era of American China students and specialists by deepening their understanding of U.S.-China policymaking, fostering beneficial skilled connections, and equipping them to interact with the general public on essential points.

Program Highlights:

From Summer 2025 to Spring 2027, PIP IX will embrace:

  • Seminars in Washington, D.C. and the West Coast.
  • A study tour to Asia.
  • Opportunities to take part in public schooling initiatives and National Committee delegations.

Fellows will profit from mentorship by senior students, networking alternatives, and media coaching to boost public outreach capabilities.

Eligibility:

  • Open to U.S. residents or everlasting residents aged 32–46.
  • Academics should maintain a terminal diploma (e.g., PhD, JD) and have experience on China.
  • Professionals should have vital China-related expertise.

Commitments:

Fellows will take part in workshops, a study tour, and execute a public schooling program with as much as $1,250 funding assist.

Application Details:

Applications are due by May 11, 2025 (midnight ET). Prospective candidates can be a part of digital data classes on April 15 (2 PM ET) or April 16 (8 PM ET).
