About the IGAD Leadership Academy (ILA)
The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Leadership Academy was based to nurture and equip future African leaders with the important abilities wanted to drive progress and transformation in a quickly evolving, multicultural society. Endorsed by the IGAD Heads of State and Government at their summit on July 5, 2022, in Nairobi, Kenya, the Academy is anchored within the perception that Africa’s challenges require African-led options.

About the Training

Eligibility Criteria
The ILA coaching is open to girls and youth (aged 18–35) from IGAD Member States: Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and Uganda. Applicants should meet the next necessities:
Hold a Bachelor’s diploma or have equal expertise in governance, management, or associated fields
Be proficient in English (the language of instruction)
Demonstrate a robust dedication to moral management, regional cooperation, and sustainable growth
Show confirmed management expertise, with stable communication and problem-solving abilities
Be keen to journey to Kenya for the coaching interval
Be obtainable to have interaction in ILA actions throughout and after the coaching 12 months
