Applications are now open for the UNICEF YOUTH ADVOCATES PROGRAMME 2024. UNICEF has launched the Youth Advocates programme, a new initiative to recruit talent in partnership with United Nations Volunteers (UNV). UNICEF aim at empowering young people, including youth with disabilities, to become agents of change and champion children’s rights.
Application Deadline: April 20th, 2024
Following the first initiative’s success in 2018–2019, which involved the mobilization of 42 Youth Advocates (18–24 years old) across 27 countries, UNICEF and UNV are currently seeking volunteers for the second cohort. Twenty enthusiastic, young, and talented advocates are needed by UNICEF/UNV to work with us as change agents to defend children’s rights.

- The Youth Advocates Programme offers young people the chance to gain one-year professional experience through a National UN Volunteer (UNV) assignment with UNICEF, while also imparting their valuable insights into the organization’s work for children and young people.
- The recruited Youth Advocates will have access to learning and professional development opportunities, including a suite of online learning programmes.
Young professionals with disabilities and from under-represented groups are especially encouraged to apply.
