Applications are now open for the 2024 Austrian Development Cooperation Scholarships. Every year, the Austrian Development Cooperation offers scholarships to students from developing countries to help with tuition fees and general expenses.

THE AUSTRIAN DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS:
- for students from ADC’s priority countries
- for students from other developing countries
Scholarships are awarded for the Diploma Course of the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management.
The Diploma Course includes:
1.) A General Module
2.) A Professional Module:Â Hospitality Management or Tourism Management
3.) An Elective:Â Entrepreneurship or Teacher Training
ITH SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS
Students can use Austrian Development Cooperation scholarships or pay for their own attendance at ITH.
An annual scholarship program is run by the Austrian Development Cooperation. Please be advised that receiving a scholarship is extremely competitive and is not guaranteed.
Benefits
The scholarship includes:
- Tuition fee
- Accommodation
- Flight tickets (from home country to Salzburg and back)
- Health insurance
- Food from Monday – Sunday
- Excursions (except field trip to ITB Berlin)
- € 205,- pocket money per month
Not included in this scholarship are:
- Transfer:Â Transfer from the airport to the hostel and back to the airport when leaving.
- Visa fee: The visa fee has to be paid by the applicants. The fee for the 8,5 month residence permit is €160.
The fees for the entry visa (Visa D) are different, please contact your embassy for detailed information.
Scholarship for developing countries
The scholarship includes:
- Tuition fee
- Health insurance
- Food from Monday – Friday
- Excursions (except ITB Berlin)
- € 205,- pocket money per month
Not included in the scholarship are:

Accommodation:Â Accommodation costs have to be covered by students who are awarded this scholarship.
The total accommodation fee of € 1.700,- has to be remitted in advance before the admission letter can be issued. - Flight ticket: Students with this scholarship have to cover their own travel expenses from their countries to Salzburg and back.

Visa fee: The visa fee has to be paid by the applicants. The fee for the 8 month residence permit is €160.

Please note that there is an age limit of 35 years for eligibility.
Procedure:Â
- Get information about ITH at the website or from an Austrian consulate or embassy
- Download ITH application form or write a inquiry to office@ith-salzburg.at.
- Application Process – all applications should be sent directly to the Institute via email or postal service.
Submission deadline is the 31st of March 2024 (all applications have to be received by the ITH office the latest by 31st March 2024) - You will receive a confirmation by email that you application has been received and processed.
- Confirmation – You will be informed about the result of your application in May 2024. If you are awarded a scholarship you will receive a letter of acceptance.
