About the call for Proposals
In order to strengthen teacher professional development, agency, and well-being in GPE partner countries, IDRC and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) are pleased to invite proposals for applied research projects that generate and mobilize evidence in support of contextualizing and scaling the impact of promising or proven innovative approaches.
Although there are many important facets of the larger field of teacher professional development, agency, and well-being, this call for proposals concentrates on two problems that have the potential to have an impact on instruction. The difficulties are:
- Improving the quality and scope of teacher education and development.Â
- Supporting teacher agency and well-being.Â
GPE and Innovation Exchange (KIX) aims to respond to these challenges by doing the following:Â Â
- Generating evidence about how to scale the impact of innovative approaches that address the challenges of teacher professional development, agency, and well-being.Â
- Strengthening the capacities of relevant stakeholders to use that knowledge and innovation.Â
- Mobilizing the evidence developed to improve policy and practice in education systems.Â
Grant
- Single country grants of up to CAD500,000. Multi-country grants of up to CAD1,250,000. Regional/global grants of up to CAD2,000,000
