Which Digital Solutions fit the WSA bill?

  • Digital content applications that have a demonstrable social impact, such as apps, websites, wearable applications, kiosk installations, SMS-based goods, mobile games, and interactive mobile productions, are eligible for submission to the WSA. Devices and hardware solutions are accepted by WSA, however proper functionality of the solution must be ensured. User numbers and a price list are required of applicants.
  • Regarding the platforms and channels that the solutions are compatible with, there are none.
  • All entries must be finished products. Prototypes, incomplete projects, demonstrations, or draughts will not be accepted. The solution must show that it is a functional product and have some influence locally.
  • Innovation, Updates, and New Features must be approved for all products submitted if they were founded more than two years prior to nomination.
  • A product may only be entered into one competition. If the same group, business, or team submits more than one product, each entry needs to be registered separately. It is not possible to resubmit submissions that have already been nominated in the WSA. The submitters of a solution that has previously been submitted must provide documentation of any noteworthy revisions, enhancements, or additions.

WSA Contest Terminology

  • Any of the official languages of the United Nations may be used on the product’s interface. Nonetheless, all producer and solution data in the WSA database needs to be in English. All official communications must be sent in English, which is the official language of the WSA.
