Position Synopsis:
The Recruitment Assistant assumes a crucial function in bolstering our recruitment process by carrying out diverse administrative and supportive duties to guarantee the smooth and productive implementation of recruitment initiatives. The Recruitment Assistant will play a crucial role in luring and hiring exceptional candidates by collaborating closely with the Staffing and Recruitment team and hiring managers.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Post job openings on our website, LinkedIn, and other job boards, and craft eye-catching job ads to draw in a varied pool of applicants.
- Assist Human Resources Officers (HRO) in their direct sourcing of potential candidates.
- Examine applications to make sure they fulfill the necessary prerequisites.
- Work together with hiring managers and HROs to determine which tests—such as written exams, skills assessments, and pre-recorded video interviews—are best for candidates.
- Utilizing a specialized IT platform, plan and organize the assessment administration process. Gather and arrange evaluation input and results from hiring managers or assessors.
- Help with the creation of assessment forms and interview questions. Make notes during the interview and, if required, produce a preliminary report on the interview.
- Plan the interview’s logistics, such as scheduling, arranging a video conference, and getting in touch with candidates, if needed.
- Plan the Appointments Review Board (ARB) meetings, which are advisory committee meetings held internally.
- Make sure that the necessary notes and documents are accurately entered into an application tracking system by updating the job requisitions files.
- Carry out further tasks as needed.

IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS
Instruction:
- completed their secondary schooling. Human resources-related vocational training would be beneficial.
Experience at work:
- five years of minimum job experience, ideally in administrative positions, such as human resources.
Competencies and abilities:
- strong attention to detail and organizing abilities.
- exceptional communication skills both in writing and speaking.
- the ability to manage private and sensitive information discreetly.
- ability to solve problems and flexibility.
- strong multitasking and time management skills.
- competence with the Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of application tracking systems (ATS).
- the capacity to gather, evaluate, and create excellent dashboards and reports. It would be advantageous to be proficient with Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or comparable data visualization software.
- Being familiar with the LinkedIn Recruiter tool would be beneficial.

- The pay scale at UNESCO consists of a base pay plus additional benefits, which could include, if appropriate: A pension plan, medical insurance, family allowance, 30 days of yearly leave, etc.
