The Science Without Borders® Challenge is a global competition that uses art to inspire teachers and students to learn about ocean conservation. The main objectives of the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation are furthered by this annual competition, which encourages students to be imaginative while raising public awareness of the importance of preserving, protecting, and restoring the oceans and aquatic resources around the world. Primary and secondary school kids between the ages of 11 and 19 are eligible to participate in the challenge. The winning entries will get scholarships of up to $500.

The Science without Borders® Challenge 2024 has as its topic “Hidden Wonders of the Deep.” Students should submit artwork showing fascinating and distinctive deep-sea organisms or ecosystems to enter this year’s competition, highlighting the beauty and diversity that frequently goes unnoticed.
Eligibility
- The age range for participants in this international art competition is 11 to 19.
- The equivalent of a home school or elementary or secondary enrollment is required for students.
- Students in higher education institutions are not permitted to enter this contest.
- First, Second, and Third Place Prizes will be given for each of the two age-based categories in which the work will be judged:
- Students aged 11 to 14
- Students aged 15 to 19
Prizes
These scholarships will be given to the winners of the Science Without Borders® Challenge:
- First Place: $ 500
- Runner-Up: $350
- Place 3: $200
How to Use
- Fill out the online submission form, add a picture of your creation, and be sure to submit everything by the deadline if you want to participate in the 2024 Science Without Borders Challenge! You will need your parents’ permission if you are under the age of 13, so don’t wait until the last minute.
