- We are looking for a suitable candidate for the SC6 Arua job of IT Operations Associate. The chosen applicant will work for the company on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
JOB GOALS
- With the participation of all pertinent stakeholders from the Arua Area Office and the Country Office Technical team, the role will be in charge of daily coordination of the technical implementation and operations of the Digital Assistance Services (DAS) in compliance with the technical requirements.
Crucial capabilities
- Assemble raw data from many sources for analysis and display on the business intelligence dashboard. Map current data infrastructures, sources, and flows.
- Before data is consumed into WFP transfer systems, it should undergo procedures for data quality improvement. Extract, transform, and load data between systems.
- Support WFP partners using WFP systems such as SCOPE; collaborate with regional and headquarters support teams to report operational problems and bugs; and propose enhancements to systems through the submission of change requests.
- In the local office, oversee the technical implementation and day-to-day operations of Digital Assistance Services (DAS), making sure that all pertinent stakeholders are included as needed.
- Assist in defining needs, operational design, budgeting, scheduling, and system deployment for technology to support DAS in the AO, especially with cash-based transfers, by collaborating with CO colleagues.
- Gather, record, and evaluate the AO business needs for DAS (e.g., using flowcharts, storyboards, data models, diagrams, and flowcharts). Finding practical current solutions or reporting the issue to the CO and following up to see if it can be resolved.
- Digital solutions should be tested, analyzed, and their compliance with accuracy and quality criteria should be documented.
- supporting IT evaluations to help with well-informed operational decision-making around DAS.
- Determine the needs for learning and support efforts to increase DAS capacity on new features with the goal of fostering strong digital assistance knowledge among partners and colleagues for the usage of WFP’s DAS.
- Technical documentation should be provided for data visualizations, systems, and procedures.
COMMON MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or related subjects Expertise:
- a minimum of three years’ experience in technology-focused teams, data analysis, and product/solution development.
- familiarity with data visualization software like HTML5, PowerBI, or Tableau.
- familiarity with team dynamics and procedures
- Language proficiency in English (level C).

Expertise and Abilities:
- familiarity with technologies for data visualization like Tableau, PowerBI, or HTML5.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, and Java is preferred.
- Database language proficiency, such as SQL, is preferred.

Client Administration
- demonstrates a thorough comprehension of clients’ IT requirements in order to handle and resolve internal clients’ issues in an efficient manner. finds recurring problems and suggests long-term fixes.
Purchasing and Contract Administration
- Capable of performing a vendor service level agreement and cost-benefit analysis of alternate technologies in order to evaluate appropriateness and compile options.
