It was necessary to fulfil the following requirements in order to be eligible for this opportunity:

  • The Catalyst Grant seeks to encourage the development of equitable and long-lasting collaborations between Oxford University and African researchers. When submitting an application, it’s crucial to show both collaborators how valuable the suggested actions are.
  • If applicable, cite the specific Sustainable Development Goals difficulty that your project aims to address.
  • Researchers at the University of Oxford and researchers based in Africa, either at an academic or non-academic institution, must jointly apply for both of the Catalyst Grants, which provide payments of up to £5,000.
  • More than two people may be supported by the Catalyst Grant; any additional participants should be specified under the section titled “Purpose of the Grant.”
  • This plan’s overarching goal is to promote the growth of new relationships rather than act as a stand-in for support of current alliances.
  • It is necessary for Oxford-based applicants to be in a postdoctoral or comparable status at the time of application. African applicants must currently be working for an African academic or research institution.
