obligations and responsibilities:

  • Assist the RVP and RVP Advisors in putting the front office work program into action.
  • Participate in the analysis and reporting of company performance and development outcomes for the area.
  • In collaboration with the regional industry departments and sub-region departments, monitor, update, and assess the region’s investment/ advisory and upstream program and pipeline.
  • Create presentations, talking points, and briefings for internal and external meetings of RVP.
  • Carry out market, sector, and nation research.
  • Assist in the review of board papers, investment, advice, and upstream project proposals.
  • Assist in the planning of the front office’s other events as well as the RVP’s tasks.

Selection Standards

  • A master’s degree in business administration, economics, international development, or a closely related discipline;
  • Regional familiarity with the regions of Europe and/or Latin America and the Caribbean is a bonus, as does having at least five years of professional experience.
  • The capacity to examine financial statements and an understanding of the financial aspects of advice or investment activities.
  • Database knowledge for market, industry, and nation research.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • The capacity to write clearly, comprehensively, and concisely.
  • Advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills, including the ability to display data in novel and effective ways by using graphics and tables.
  • The capacity to compile and synthesize substantial volumes of data from a variety of sources for the preparation of business papers and presentations.
  • Excellent communication and organizing abilities.
  • Courtesy and responsiveness in interpersonal relationships.
  • Strong interest in multicultural settings and development finance.
  • The capacity to handle a big task and perform well under duress.
  • A good team player who can do duties quickly and efficiently.
  • Fluency in other languages spoken in the area is a bonus, but strong written and verbal English communication skills are required.
