At this time of year, excitement replaces anticipation as FORBES AFRICA gets ready to welcome and honour the newest group of young innovators, influencers, and thinkers who are sweeping the continent.

This year’s FORBES AFRICA 30 Under 30 list will commemorate 10 years of the list and look back on the process of identifying the most promising young leaders in Africa who will lead the continent into the future. The potential of what is still to come will be highlighted in the tenth annual list.
Now is the moment to extend an invitation to the next 30 African pioneers, risk-takers, visionaries, and change-makers to join the class of 2024. As we enter the new decade, this list promises to be the longest and best one yet.
Criteria for Nominations and Applications
- The categories of business and technology
- Must be a founder or entrepreneur who, as of March 31, 2024, was no older than 29.
- ought to be operating a REASONABLY REGISTERED business on the continent.
- Businesses should be at least two years old (please make sure you have your company’s registration paperwork and audited financial records for the past two years; these will be needed if you move on to the second step).
- The better the business (as it speaks to Africa’s growth story), the more inventive it must be.
- Have you or your business had an impact on African society?
- The business must turn a profit.
- Africa must employ people.
- Applications must all fall under the English Sports category.
- Must represent an African team and be a sportsperson who will be 29 years old or younger as of March 31, 2024.
- Should have experience in the field for at least two years.
- Should be generating substantial income
- Any endorsement agreements and/or honours would be a bonus.
- Particularly if applying in the Business/Technology category, entrepreneurialism and social impact are plusses. However, the company must follow the same guidelines as those outlined in Business/Technology.
- Every submission must fall under the English Creatives category.
- Must be an artist and be under the age of 29 as of March 31, 2024, and must be African-born or based in Africa
- Should bring in substantial income
- Should have a minimum two-year track record of creativity.
- Any honours or honours should be stated
- The presence on social media will be taken into account.
- Particularly if applying in the Business/Technology category, entrepreneurialism and social impact are plusses. The company must, however, be legitimate, registered, and two years old or older.
- Every application must be in the English category for health and science.
- Must be an artist and be under the age of 29 as of March 31, 2024, and must be African-born or based in Africa
- Should have at least two years of experience in the health and/or science fields.
- Must have an impact on society
- If the nominee holds a doctorate or a Ph.D., do supply us with proof and a letter of recommendation from the university where they completed their studies.
- Particularly if applying in the Business/Technology category, entrepreneurialism and social impact are plusses. The company must, however, be legitimate, registered, and at least two years old.
- Every application must be submitted in English.
Criteria
- Police clearance certificates (PCCs) or a report from your country confirming that you are a citizen of that country and have no criminal history, no pending or prospective court cases, will be required as part of the rigorous nominations process.
- A letter of recommendation or reference from a financial institution, such as your bank, is also required by the FORBES AFRICA 30 Under 30 team of curators in order to verify that you are a real company or brand that manages its finances appropriately.
- They advise you to get in touch with your financial institution or advisor to get ready for this phase of the procedure and to apply for your PCC since it might take 4-6 weeks.
