The DAAD Postgraduate Scholarship provides financial assistance to Masters degree candidates from developing nations who have strong academic and professional backgrounds.
Masters or PhD programmes in political economy, economics, business administration, regional and urban planning, mathematics, agriculture and forestry, natural and environmental sciences, medicine and public health, and media studies.
Benefits
- For graduate and doctoral students, scholarships give monthly financing fees, health, accident, and private liability insurance, as well as payment for travel expenditures, assuming the home nation or another party is not at fault.
- A monthly rental subsidy and monthly fees for accompanying family members are possible additional perks, subject to certain restrictions.
Eligibility
- Scholarships are given to those working on development programmes in developing nations who have finished a four-year Bachelor’s degree programme, have at least two years of relevant professional experience, and have academic qualifications that are no more than six years old. They must also have at least two years of relevant professional experience.
- The scholarship pays for a six-month German language education; requirements include passing the DSH 2 or TestDaF 4 exam, a certification of at least B1 competency in German, and proof of language ability in accordance with course requirements.
