One of the biggest exhibitions of contemporary art in Europe, NordArt is created from scratch each year. Between June and October, a colossal work of art is created from the works of over 200 chosen artists (both established and emerging from around the world), including paintings, sculptures, photos, and installations. Each piece of art speaks for itself while also engaging in conversation with the others. A distinctive atmosphere emerges in harmony with the dramatic backdrop, luring you on a voyage of exploration.

The exhibition emphasises the various viewpoints of other civilizations while also demonstrating the many similarities between East and West, South and North. NordArt collaborates with embassies, cultural organisations, and curators from other nations to showcase special projects as well as a dedicated pavilion each year for a different nation in order to promote better understanding.
Wolfgang Gramm is NordArt’s chief curator. Senior curator Inga Aru is in charge.
