The mission of the autonomous, non-profit Salzburg Global Seminar, which was established in 1947, is to inspire present and future leaders to create a better world. Our multi-year initiatives seek to reduce gaps, increase collaboration, and revamp systems.

A highly competitive approach is used to choose their interns from all over the world. While undergraduates with at least three years of approved study may apply, individuals who have recently graduated from college or are still in their early graduate studies and whose interests and skills fit well with Salzburg Global’s programmes and activities are given precedence.

Hong Kong Internship
- Students in Hong Kong who are going to enrol in, are currently enrolled in, or have recently graduated from a university are encouraged to apply for the summer 2024 internship programme at Salzburg Global Seminar.
Communications internship
- Salzburg Global Seminar is looking for a recent college grad with experience in journalism who is passionate about writing features, telling stories, and creating multimedia content to capture the impact of our programmes and be a part of a small but active Public Affairs Team.
Development Internship
- In order to help with background research on organisations and potential partners, the creation of program-related concept notes, proposals, and reports, as well as administrative support for Salzburg Global’s programmes, we are looking for an intern to work in our Salzburg office.
Library Internship
- A self-driven, proactive library studies graduate who is interested in assisting with the development of our institutional archives, private library, and programmes is sought by Salzburg Global Seminar for an internship. As part of this exceptional opportunity, the intern will work as the point of contact for Salzburg Global’s modest, private collection while gaining practical experience converting digital materials into a useful archive.
Training Internship
- This internship, which is based in Salzburg, Austria, is ideal for a self-driven and proactive recent or upcoming graduate who wants to get experience in programme delivery at a nonprofit organisation, from event planning and preparation through implementation.

- Through a rigorous selection procedure, we choose interns from all over the world. While undergraduates with at least three years of approved study may apply, individuals who have recently graduated from college or are still in their early graduate studies and whose interests and skills fit well with Salzburg Global’s programmes and activities are given precedence.
- In order to maximise both the learning experience interns get and the contribution they may make, Salzburg Global makes every effort to choose a varied group of interns and to align their general and specific tasks.
- In addition to enhancing their knowledge and abilities, Salzburg Global Seminar’s non-accredited three-month internship programmes give participants access to its expansive network of Salzburg Global Fellows.
