The Acumen Academy is accepting applications for its India Fellowship in order to create a network of leaders who push the envelope, bridge gaps in opinion, and motivate their communities to envision a better future.

The Fellowship marks the beginning of a journey to acquire the qualities, abilities, and principles of moral leadership, which combine empathy, immersion, comprehension, and action. The Fellows are united by shared principles, a shared desire for a world free from injustice and poverty, and a commitment to support, uplift, and hold each other accountable for their actions.
The Acumen Academy India Fellows Programme is intended for people who have a strong commitment to long-term efforts to combat poverty and injustice. You must be dedicated to the following in order to join the Acumen Fellowship community:
complete attendance at all workshops and immersion lectures.
Complete completion of the peer coaching sessions and online work tasks assigned between seminars.
proactive interaction and communication with other Acumen Fellows from around the world and India both during and beyond the first year of the Fellowship Programme. A motivating neighbourhood supporting your and others’ efforts to end injustice and poverty.

You Will: In The Fellowship Programme
- Acquire the skills necessary to catalyse and embrace the gradual but significant process of bringing about change on an individual, organisational, and societal level.
- Develop the capacity to lead well when conflicting but interrelated ideals are present.
- Know how to guide various stakeholders through frequent and difficult situations.
- Learn how to deliver compelling stories that cut across differences and inspire others to action.
- Develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your work in a wider context by reflecting on the identities, values, and decisions that have formed your path up to this point.
- Through text-based discourse, examine what it means to live in a just society as well as the ethical and historical basis of social change.
- Use moral imagination to navigate systemic issues and create more efficient responses.
- Examine your presumptions and convictions towards implementing change successfully.
- Be encouraged and joined by a group of persistent peers who share your goals for bringing about social change.
- Adaptive Leadership, Authentic Voice, Good Society Readings, Immunity to Change, and Polarities Management are just a few of the effective leadership theories, methods, and approaches that are incorporated into the programme.
What to anticipate?
The fellows are exceptional leaders who have the courage to embark on the challenging path of social transformation. Here is what Acumen Academy expects from you and what your cohort will be like:
- Entrepreneurs: Those in charge of businesses that cater to the needs of the underserved, whether they are for profit or nonprofit.
- Leaders who are launching innovative projects or strategies inside the company are known as intrapreneurs. The emphasis is on developing, testing, incubating, and putting into practise concepts that help the organisation achieve its goals.
- Leaders who actively contribute to the development of the organisation are known as organisational builders. The emphasis is on creating the internal structures, frameworks, systems, and procedures that allow the organisation to fulfil its mission.
eligibility requirements
- English is the language used for all training and seminars. To ensure that Fellows can contribute and benefit the most from this programme, conversational English fluency is a must.
- Indian citizens may submit applications to Acumen Academy. On a case-by-case basis, Acumen Academy will take into account those who can show a clear link to the area (such as a long-term job, residency, or the subject of the social change project).
- The participants in each cohort of Acumen Fellows must have never before participated in an Acumen Fellowship. Candidates who have completed courses at Acumen Academy, taken part in other fellowships or leadership programmes, or both are encouraged to apply.
