The Matching Grant Fund’s overarching goal is to increase the impact of contributions from partners for the implementation of targeted interventions to develop the value chains for cocoa, maize, and livestock (cattle, sheep, and goats), as well as to foster ownership to promote sustainable growth in each sector, support the growth of the private sector, and increase stakeholder productivity and profitability in all 79 OACPS member states.

Financial Details

  • The maximum contribution that can be channelled through ABF will represent up to 50% of the total project expenditure for all MGF initiatives. The maximum contribution is €200,000.

  • Lead candidates:
  • Processing business
  • Producer of agriculture/Farmer’s organisation
  • Retailer organisations on a local or global scale
  • As joint venture partners:
  • Financial institutions and private sector foundations
  • Competent NGOs
  • Institutions for education, research, or extension.
