To pursue Master’s degree programmes in Chilean higher education institutions in 2024, applicants may apply for grants from the Chilean Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AGCID).

The AGCID Human Capital Training Program’s goal is to aid in the professional development of students enrolled in master’s programmes at highly regarded higher education institutions in Chile. Professionals who are residents of South Africa, Mozambique, and Angola are eligible for the grants.

Eligibility

  • Professionals who are nationals of Angola, Mozambique, and South Africa. Those who are employed in the public or academic sectors of their home nation are given preference.

Candidates should possess

  • A 4-year university degree; experience in the fields you choose to pursue master’s studies in; an unequivocal acceptance offer from a Chilean higher education institution;
  • Knowledge of Spanish.

Financial Details

  • The price of the Spanish language course; The cost of the flights to and from Chile (as well as the cost of the bus fare if the students must go to cities without airports);
  • tuition costs for no more than 24 months;
  • A one-time book allowance of 90000 Chilean Pesos, a monthly allowance of 560000 Chilean Pesos, and any medical issues, mishaps, or losses incurred while in Chile.

The AGCID Grant application and the annexe documentation listed below must be submitted electronically to esudafrica@minrel.gob.cl.

  • Acceptance letter for the selected study programme;
  • Certification of bodily and mental health;
  • Original professional title certificate or a certified copy signed by a public notary;
  • Curriculum vitae with a focus on employment and education;
  • Motivational letter outlining the applicant’s motivations for choosing Chile as a study destination;
  • A succinct overview of the thesis’ potential regions and topics;
  • A letter of recommendation from a professor; a letter of sponsorship from the potential employer;
  • Acceptance of the scholarship’s terms and conditions by affidavit.
