Women and girls are frequently left behind in many facets of life, especially those who have impairments. Women suffer discrimination at all phases of life, along with opportunities for development, obstacles to overcome, and accomplishments that influence their experiences.

With the theme “Breaking Barriers – Stories and Voices of Women and Girls with Disabilities,” the EDF Photo Competition 2023 challenges participants to submit photos that dispel common misconceptions and stereotypes about women with disabilities from various cultural, racial, and/or ethnic backgrounds.
