The British Council pioneering accelerator programme, known as Film Lab Africa, is designed to support budding TV producers and filmmakers in Nigeria. Our plan is painstakingly created to offer a comprehensive framework of support and growth opportunities, promoting improved abilities, enlarged knowledge, and extended networks, allowing participants to effectively present their creative projects. Film Lab Africa, which is slated to begin in September 2023, will run for three exciting years and feature a multi-phased approach that explores mobile phone cinematography, short film production, the complex world of film and TV industry entrepreneurship, script development, and priceless opportunities for public presentation.

eligibility
- Between the ages of 18 and 35
- A Nigerian citizen
- Completed the SoCreative E-learning platform’s creative entrepreneurship programme. Use this address to access the platform: https://communitytraining.britishcouncil.org
- Have a script and production bible ready to proceed into development, at least one credit to your name.
Application Method
- Complete the online application. Prepare your answers by downloading the application questions (included at the bottom of this page) for convenience.
- Describe your artistic background and goals in more detail.
- For next steps, the shortlisted filmmakers will be contacted.
- For 4 weeks, applications are accepted.
