The ASEAN Digital Awards honour the top digital accomplishments among significant ASEAN stakeholders. The ASEAN ICT Awards will now be rebranded as the “ASEAN Digital Awards” to acknowledge the usage of cutting-edge technology like artificial intelligence (AI), big data, etc. in the ASEAN digital economy.
Category of Entries
Public sector
- This includes digital government-related products, services, and programmes, such e-government.

Private industry
- These are digital goods, services, or initiatives that are relevant to the private sector and include things like industrial applications, e-logistics & supply chain management, financial industry applications, communication, e-health, tourism & hospitality, etc.

Digital Accessibility
- Digital goods, services, or initiatives that enable people to engage in the digital economy and society by giving them the knowledge, drive, and chances to harness the power of technology and to use the internet responsibly.

Digital materials
- The term “digital entertainment” refers to a variety of multimedia, infotainment, immersive, and interactive digital products and/or services that are related to the process of fusing text, sound, pictures, and videos to produce an amusement that captures the audience’s attention.

Online Startup
- Early-stage digital startups that embrace digitalization and technological advancement in order to increase productivity, revamp business models, and improve overall living standards for citizens and consumers in order to produce social impact. These startups may already have commercialised product(s) or a minimum viable product (MVP).

Technology Innovation
- Digital goods and services that support tertiary institutions and research programmes as a key competitive advantage can have a remarkable impact on how firms run or significantly improve the quality of life for end customers.
eligibility
- This section contains the guidelines that all AMS should follow while choosing businesses and the nominations for the ASEAN Digital Awards competition.
Company Qualifications
- Should be locally registered with the relevant AMS.
- The business may be entirely owned by locals.
- When a local firm partners with a foreign company, the foreign partner may be either a company registered in another AMS or a company registered outside of ASEAN, although at least 51% of the total shares must be held by shareholders within the AMS.
Product Qualification
- IP rights for the product must be owned by the entity that is qualified to nominate.
qualifying criteria
- A minimum of 51% of the product development activities (including design and R&D) must be carried out or completed inside the AMS submitting the application.
Requirements
- A product or idea that has had the majority of its R&D and design work done in an ASEAN Member State has not previously been recognised with an ASEAN Digital Award.
