The Building Resilience in CARIFORUM States (BRICS) Programme, run by the Caribbean Disaster Management Agency, has opened its fourth competitive request for ideas for Country Directed Fund(€60 000 000) projects with budgets between 10,000 and 60,000 euros. Additionally, qualified participating nations may submit funding requests totaling up to 10,000 Euros at any time.

The CDEMA CU will implement the Country Directed Fund (CDF) with a concentration on delivering high-quality country-centered programming support with the goal of reinforcing the foundation already established for the CDF to be transformed into a grant mechanism that complies with international standards.
Categories for Grants
- Depending on the grant amount requested, the grants under the country directed fund are distinguished. The grants are listed in the following categories:
- technical support up to a maximum of Euro 60,000.00 and up to a maximum of Euro 10,000.00.
- Priority Sectors
- Information Management, Disaster Risk Reduction, National Disaster Management Organisation Capacity Building, Information and Communication Technology, Enhanced Institutional Capacity, Knowledge Management and Learning for CDM, Sector Integration of CDM, Enhanced Community Responsiveness, Strategic Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation and Research, Emergency Response Coordination, Disaster Situational Awareness (Damage Assessment), Information Management, Disaster Risk Reduction, National Disaster
- Grants up to the value of 10,000 euros
- Administration of the Small CDF grant will support the following targeted sectors, up to a maximum of Euro 10,000.00:
- Priority country capacity building areas as outlined in the CDEMA Corporate Plan; Senior official training and capacity building through the CDEMA CU; Technical assistance through the Technical Assistance Secondment Protocol (TASP); and National Disaster Coordinator participation in governance meetings of the CDEMA CU organs and the CDM Conference.
Financial Details
- Grants up to the value of 10,000 euros
- Access to a maximum of 10,000 Euros will be granted through a quick, streamlined approach.
- Applications for sums less than 10,000 euros will also be accepted and handled continuously.
- grants with a minimum of 10,000 euros and a maximum of 60,000 euros
- A competitive call for proposals will be utilised to access sums greater than 10,000 euros and not to exceed 60,000 euros Technical support
- Regional Grants of more than 10,000 euros and up to 60,000 euros
- Support will be given for regional interventions, such as training seminars and discussions, carried out by the CDEMA Coordinating Unit, whose beneficiaries are the Participating States and whose implementation is outlined in the CDEMA CU Corporate Plan.
