Benefits
- Postdocs at the Climate School will make $71,640 a year. In addition, they get a $12,000 research stipend over the course of the appointment’s two years to cover reimbursable costs. These grants can be used for moving and relocation expenditures, as well as for conference, journal, book, software, equipment, travel, and other research-related expenses.
- Only non-US citizens are eligible to receive temporary J1 visas from Columbia University.
- Officers of Research, as CCS Postdocs are known, are entitled to the same benefits offered to full-time workers by Columbia University.
- A series of seminars where each postdoc shares their current study. The lectures also feature guest speakers. Additionally, postdocs may oversee group projects that are created, discussed, and carried out during these sessions. The gatherings are informal and created to encourage discussions among CCS Postdocs, academics, and researchers about various multidisciplinary topics and ways to solve problems. They provide lunch.
