Deadline: 29th September 2023 | Environmental Media Awards 2023
The Environmental Media Awards 2023, which were first given out by the Environmental Media Association (EMA) in 1991, honour motion pictures and television shows that raise public awareness of environmental issues and encourage individual action on these matters. The Awards honour authors, producers, directors, performers, and other members of the entertainment business who demonstrate environmental awareness. The only award ceremony that spotlights and promotes the work the entertainment sector is doing in front of and behind the camera to promote environmental role modelling is the Environmental Media Awards. Our goal is to raise public awareness of the entertainment industry’s commitment to supporting these initiatives through tens of billions of impressions each year.

WHO CAN APPLY?
The narrative and documentary feature films must have sold distribution rights and have been released between August 31st, 2022, and September 1st, 2023, either in theatres or at an authorised film festival, direct-to-video, or video on demand (streaming or transactional). All television productions must have their premiere on a national network, cable, public television station, first-run syndication network, or streaming channel between August 31 and September 1, 2022. All entries may be examined by EMA to determine their eligibility.
WHAT DEFINES AN ENVIRONMENTAL ENTRY?
A panel of judges made up of influential members of the entertainment and environmental worlds will choose the winners. It might be as straightforward as a single beat in a half-hour television comedy or as complex as the entire plot of a full-length blockbuster. EMA encourages you to submit the work for consideration if it clearly conveys an environmental message and does it in an engaging and inspiring manner.
