With a goal of halving global animal consumption by the year 2040, ProVeg Grants provides financing to groups and initiatives that aim to modify people’s diets.

ProVeg International has given more than 300 awards to institutions and individuals across 70 nations since 2019. We are grateful to be providing financial support and assistance in growing capacity for the movement, and we look forward to learning more about your strategies, achievements, and difficulties so that we can increase the effect of the movement on a worldwide scale.

We strongly advise all applicants to read the eligibility requirements listed below before submitting an application.

ProVeg Grants provide specialized assistance from ProVeg International’s Intervention Experts in addition to cash help ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 annually.

  • Although it is our goal to finance numerous excellent concepts, due to the limited number of grants available, not all applications will be accepted. ProVeg International has complete discretion over the selection of grants in every situation.
  • We encourage you to express your interest in applying, and the ProVeg Grants team will consider it. You will be sent a link to a complete application form if the information you supply meets our requirements for applying.

Eligible Interventions:

We are currently giving the following intervention requests priority:

  • plans for catering in schools or universities
  • Additional institutional catering services
  • Business rankings
  • V-Label
  • Changing national dietary recommendations
  • advocating for laws that are more pro-plant
  • Events (B2B gatherings, vegfests, or summits on medicine)
  • campaigns based on challenges
  • Unrestricted general operating assistance (for organizations who have previously been awarded a ProVeg Grant and have a successful track record in vegan campaigning)
  • If the recommended intervention you have in mind is not on this list, please express your interest using the link above; we would still like to hear about your ideas.

We assist groups and individuals that:

  • Contribute to ProVeg International’s effort to cut global animal consumption in half by 2040.
  • prioritizes all animal species equally (for example, does not increase chicken consumption at the expense of cows’ benefits)
  • Attempt to lessen or do away with the desire for or consumption of animal products.
  • Don’t work on anything related to animal welfare, community projects, or other initiatives that aren’t related to diet or non-plant-based, cultured or fermented food. Only work on things related to diet change, food systems change, or alternative proteins.
  • consistently exhibits a favorable reputation with their community and stakeholders, which can help ProVeg International maintain a favorable reputation.
  • align with the ideals of the ProVeg Grants Program’s safe environment and courteous workplace
  • are not an international branch of US-based organizations or are not located outside of the United States

Currently, we are prioritizing:

  • Submissions from nations other than the United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Czechia, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Belgium, Nigeria, and the United States
  • organizations that meaningfully employ women, people of color, and other underrepresented groups and are led by them
  • projects with measurable outcomes that are supported by evidence
