Deadline for applications: August 20, 2023, 11:59 p.m. | Kari Howard’s Fund for Narrative Journalism at the IWMF
Kari Howard cherished tales that gave readers the impression that they had just made a brand-new friend. It was a challenge for the writers who were fortunate enough to have her as their editor to incorporate the melodies of everyday life and the passion of remarkable love into the narratives that illuminated the most pressing concerns of the day. The International Women’s Media Foundation and Kari’s family and friends are proud to provide funding to encourage the narrative journalism she championed.
