Our Conservation Insight Grants are for up to two-year projects that concentrate on endangered species. We give away money in the range of £3,000 and £10,000 annually, up to a maximum of £20,000.
Funds will be given to projects that either:
Discover the important scientific data that will aid in the conservation of a species.
Give an answer to a crucial conservation question so that conservationists can take necessary conservation action.
Implement a crucial local measure that will have a profoundly beneficial effect on an endangered species.
Projects with a high priority include:
collecting the evidence required to carry out the required mitigation work
Using data from science to influence local, national, or worldwide policy
constructing and evaluating a novel monitoring strategy for a species or group of species
Applications for conservation and research projects on species that are listed by the IUCN as being endangered, critically endangered, or extinct in the wild are also given priority.
We only consider grant requests from people who are already employed and established in the United Kingdom, any of its overseas territories, or any nation that the World Bank does not classify as high-income. Please visit the World Bank website to see if your nation is eligible. Native project managers who are based in their home nation are given preference.
Please be aware that we are no longer taking funding proposals for studies on bird species anywhere in the globe or in the UK. Visit Terra Viva Grants to learn more about organizations that fund bird-related projects.
