The Hostwriter Story Prize 2023 application period is currently open. The Hostwriter Story Prize recognizes outstanding examples of journalistic cooperation. They seek out material that demonstrates how two or more journalists worked together to produce a story that is more in-depth than would have been achievable on their own.
Hostwriter is an open network that makes it simple for journalists to work together internationally. By giving local contacts all across the world, they assist members of all professional levels in improving the standard of media coverage. Every journalist offers work samples for professional validation.
Prizes
- The three best joint stories will get a prize of €1,000 apiece.
- The two winning teams will each get €1,500 for their concepts as part of the pitch prize.
Eligibility
Those who applied for the Story Prize
- Open to groups of at least two journalists that have completed a joint story before July 31st, 2023.
- Contributions have come from several journalists.
- Used Hostwriter in some capacity on this tale, and/or all collaborators are currently Hostwriter members.
Those who applied for the Pitch Prize
- Open to collaborating on a narrative that will be published.
- There will be multiple journalistic contributions.
- Hostwriter will be used for research and to identify writers for the novel.
Application
Not only are stories published by Unbias the News ineligible for the prize, but neither are previous Hostwriter Prize winners.
