Applications for the JWF Fund 2023 are now being accepted by the Japan Water Forum. We would much appreciate submissions for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects once again, as they were last year, given the critical importance that these factors have in avoiding infectious diseases like COVID-19. This year’s application period runs from 17:00 on June 27 to 18:00 on July 27 (JST). This year, we’ll choose roughly 5 charities.

Fund JWF
JWF is the sole operator of the Japan Water Forum Fund (JWF Fund), which was established in 2005. The JWF Fund seeks to support grassroots organizations in implementing sustainable solutions to address local water-related concerns in underdeveloped nations. The JWF actively seeks for projects to support each year and awards grants of up to 1,500 USD each project that has been approved after careful consideration. We value initiatives that make use of local assets, know-how, and technology and set up a sustainable operating and maintenance system.
The JWF Fund has provided funding for 194 projects in 32 countries over the last 19 years, benefiting more than 268,000 individuals. Membership fees paid by JWF members and other donations make up the JWF Fund.
Out of the proposals submitted from 32 nations for the JWF Fund 2022, 5 projects from 5 countries were chosen.
