GLF Nairobi 2023 Photography Contest

The GLF Nairobi 2023 Photo Competition has officially begun, and we couldn’t be happier. We’d love to see what’s occurring in your local landscapes and some of the amazing ideas being adopted to conserve and maintain them, whether you’re a professional or amateur, nature or urban photographer.

Whether it’s land restoration, generative farming in urban and rural areas, biodiversity preservation, or anything else, we want to show the world photos of constructive actions being made towards a healthier Earth. Get your cameras ready and lead us on this visual voyage; the choice is yours!

How to take part

Please upload your photo here to participate.
One entry consists of each image.
The submitted file needs to have the title of the photo, the contributor’s name, their email address, their social media handles (if relevant), and a caption with the photo’s subject and location.

Selection

A panel of judges chosen by the GLF will assess all entries and shortlist up to 25 images from among all eligible entries received throughout the competition period.

The following standards will be used to select the finalists:

  • Imagination (30%)
  • Quality of the photos (30%)
  • Making up (30%)
  • Theme execution (10%)

The GLF will make the finalist submissions available online. The public will be given the opportunity to vote online for their favorite entry, and the panel of judges will select the first and second prize winners from the finalist submissions. The “popular vote” award will go to the submission that receives the most votes. The GLF team will make sure that the winners of the first prize, second prize, and popular vote are all chosen from various competitors.

Finalists

All finalists will receive an email from the GLF team in August inviting them to submit a little video message about their entry and work. At GLF Nairobi 2023, our art gallery will feature the best videos.
