Every year, the Prize is given to individuals and organizations, regardless of where they reside, their ethnicity, gender, etc. The CIS, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and North Africa, North and South America, and Sub-Saharan Africa are the six world regions from which the prize’s laureates are chosen.
85 countries and 850 charitable enterprises from the past years have taken part in the International Prize.
NOMINATIONS
Medical Care and Emergency Action
Projects in the areas of mental and physical health, blood donation, healthcare development, encouragement of physical education and sports, as well as providing emergency aid to people during disasters, catastrophes, and emergency situations.
Projects in the areas of environmental protection, environmental education, environmental consumerism, the “green” economy, and technology are included under the heading “Ecology and Sustainable Development.”
Social Justice and Equal Opportunity
Projects with the goal of enhancing the welfare of at-risk groups of residents, giving them social help, exposing talents, forming personalities, and fostering volunteerism.
Nomination for “Good Deed of the Year”
Chosen from the Laureates of the other nominations and given in recognition of exceptional efforts in the field of promoting social change through volunteerism.
