September 30, 2023 is the deadline for applications. | Women for Africa Foundation (FMxA) Science by Women Program 2023 for African Women Researchers (Fully Funded)
The 9th Edition of the SCIENCE BY WOMEN program is being introduced by the Women for Africa Foundation (FMxA), in keeping with its mission to support Africa’s development through the initiative of its women.
This initiative aims to support African women’s leadership in scientific research and technology transfer. As well as to strengthen the capacity of research institutions in their home nations. Through research in health and biomedicine, sustainable agriculture and food security, water, energy, and climate change, the principal objective is to empower African women researchers and scientists to address the major challenges that Africa faces.
Uncontrolled development has a tremendous impact on women’s lives, but social, institutional, and economic restrictions make it difficult for them to address the continent’s major problems. The population of Africa as a whole is impacted by the gender gaps in science and technology in both the public and private spheres. To achieve long-term progress and equal growth, it is essential to close this gap, which has detrimental effects on the balanced and sustainable development of African nations.
