Applications are now being accepted for the Vital Voices Global Ambassadors Program 2023. The Global Ambassadors Program (GAP) is created for female leaders of mission-driven companies, social enterprises, and nonprofit groups. It offers mentoring, training, and a network of support to help you improve both professionally and personally.

This fall’s GAP, which will be held in New York City from November 6 to 10, will focus on the ongoing needs and difficulties faced by female leaders in the handmade and craft industry from around the globe who are tackling some of the biggest global issues, such economic empowerment and human rights. GAP NYC will also emphasize the crucial role that women can—and must—play in advancing their country by highlighting the contribution that women make to innovation and socioeconomic development. Activities that are connected to the manufacture of goods made by hand or with the aid of basic tools are referred to as belonging to the handmade and handcraft sector.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the Global Ambassadors Program, you must be:
- a female executive who makes the major decisions and oversees the day-to-day operations of a mission-driven company, social enterprise, or nonprofit organization.
- at least two years’ worth of professional experience.
- excellent at English.
- exemplify the basic values of the “Vital Voices’ Leadership Model”: be innovative, collaborative, and mission-driven; involved in their communities; and dedicated to improving the situation of women and girls.
- Exhibit strong leadership potential and a desire to assume leadership positions both inside and outside of their firms or organizations.
Your company needs to be a
- a for-profit company with a social aim, sometimes known as a social enterprise.
- (NPO or NGO) Non-profit or non-governmental organization.
- CSO, or community service organization.
- should generate a minimum of US$50,000 in annual income and a maximum of US$10,000,000 in annual revenue.
Evaluation Standards
Participants will be chosen after applications have been evaluated based on a number of variables, such as the following ones:
- No exclusions. The ability to commit to the entire in-person program, training, mentoring, and pre-event webinars.
- draft strategy plan was submitted, and development gaps were noted.
- conformity to the Vital Voices Leadership model
- the location of the chosen participants
- Acceptance of guidance and coaching from coaches and mentors
- Ability to introduce change inside her organization or business
- based on the application, expected effect on company or organization
- Willingness to use the necessary influence in their community to help shape the conversation around women’s success there.
