Global Changemakers is looking for young social entrepreneurs, community organizers, activists, volunteers, and campaigners who are passionate, energetic, devoted, proactive, and striving to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in Africa. To attend the fully financed African Youth Summit in 2023 and be recognized as a Global Changemaker, submit an application.

From October 17 to 20, 2019, in Cape Town, South Africa, the fully sponsored AYS2023 will take place. They have invited 50 extraordinary Changemakers to join them for a life-changing weekend of learning, networking, and fun alongside the continent’s most exciting young leaders, including you. You will join a network of more than 1000 young changemakers striving to improve lives in more than 180 nations as one of the Global Changemakers of 2023, and you will be qualified to apply for grant money to start or scale your projects.
The goal of Global Changemakers (GCM) is to assist young people in bringing about positive change in their neighborhoods by providing them with grants, mentoring, and capacity-building opportunities.
Benefits
If chosen, the summit is expenses for transportation in South Africa, lodging, and meals (from the primary airport in your home nation) will all be paid.
The cost of insurance, additional personal expenses, and permits for entry into South Africa (if necessary) will not be reimbursed.
Eligibility
- Young social entrepreneurs, community activists, volunteers, campaigners, and changemakers who are advancing the SDGs around the world must be the most motivating, fascinating, enthusiastic, tenacious, and innovative.
- Participants may come from any African nation or from any nationality as long as they reside and work there.
- Participants must be able to communicate in English.
- Participants (those born between October 17, 1995, and October 20, 2002) should be between the ages of 21 and 28 at the time of the summit.
