The Accelerate Africa program has begun, as stated by Prosper Africa and Future Africa. For African founders in their early stages, the program offers rigorous assistance, mentorship, and tools. Future Africa, in collaboration with Prosper Africa, will assist innovative African businesspeople as they begin a 7-week pre-accelerator program that will equip them for success in global accelerator programs like Y-Combinator, 500 Startups, and Techstars. The initiative will put these businesspeople in a better position to attract more investment capital and create more durable enterprises.
The U.S. Government’s pledge to enhance investment on the continent from the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit is fulfilled by this collaboration. In the Summit’s Deal Room, Prosper Africa pledged $170 million to expand American investment in Africa and African exports to the US by $2 billion over the following five years, including through the newly established Prosper Africa Catalytic Investment Facility.
Early stage African founders are prepared for global expansion through Accelerate Africa (A2). Accelerate Africa (A2) seeks out partners like governments, international technology firms, entrepreneur support organizations, and global technology accelerators that can give them access to funding, clients, and channels that can accelerate their growth.
Benefits
Support for individual applications from African alumni of the global accelerator
You will collaborate closely with a group of A-list mentors who have successfully completed a global accelerator. As you develop your application, they will offer active guidance and serve as a sounding board for your ideas.
A carefully handpicked group of top candidates going through the process together
Working with others who share your interests can help ease the stress of starting a firm, which can be solitary and difficult. To do this, we may draw on our regional and international network of more than 300 investors and 100 entrepreneurs for advice and information sharing.
Leading African VCs make strategic investments to improve your progress
To our global network of co-investors, Accelerate Africa (A2) will offer strategic introductions and suggestions. During our Demo Day, which marks the culmination of our program, you will also have the chance to present your company to top African VCs. The Investment Committee will also provide $75,000 for 5% stock in a few chosen cohort firms.
