Iris Prize 2023 for Young People Increasing Protective and Restoration of Nature (up to $15,000 grant)

Last day: May 31, 2023 | Iris Prize 2023 for Young People Increasing Protective and Restoration of Nature

Applications are now being accepted for the Iris Prize 2023, which will honor and encourage young people who are stepping up efforts to protect and restore nature in order to ensure a sustainable future for everybody.

In addition to a locally provided capacity building program and peer-to-peer mentorship supervised by their advisory panel, The Iris Project provides three grants each year. Three remarkable people who best exemplify the Iris Project’s attitude of promoting the preservation and restoration of environment as well as the rights of those who protect it were given the first-ever “Iris Prize” in September 2022.

They understand that restoring nature can take a number of forms, from old-fashioned land management to cutting-edge technology innovations. As a result, the “Iris Prize” recognizes both fresh concepts and well-established programs in an effort to remove the obstacles posed by circumstance that all too frequently prohibit young people from being able to promote environmental change.

The rewards are set up in this way, and each winner receives one along with a special capacity-building program:

  • $5,000 grant for those between the ages of 14 and 24: Given for a fresh, unproven idea.
  • $10,000 grant awarded to a small-scale initiative for those between the ages of 16 and 24.
