The GREAT Scholarships 2023–2024 are now accepting applications. This year, the University of Edinburgh will provide five scholarships to students from China, India, Nigeria, Turkey, and Vietnam who are pursuing one-year postgraduate master’s programs that are eligible for the 2023–2024 academic year in collaboration with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign.
Students from 18 countries are supported by the GREAT Scholarships program, which was established by the British Council’s Study Britain campaign in partnership with many other UK universities. 150 scholarships from UK universities are being made available to students in 18 different countries as part of the Study UK initiative.

The scholarship program provides students pursuing one year of postgraduate education in the UK with financial assistance of at least £10,000. In the 41 institutions located in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, students can apply for courses in a variety of topic areas.
Awards
Each scholarship will come with a £10,000 reward that will be applied toward your tuition costs and is valid for one academic year.
Eligibility
- Nationals and residents of China, India, Nigeria, Turkey, and Vietnam who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis to an appropriate one-year on campus postgraduate Masters program of study will receive the scholarships from the University of Edinburgh.
- Academic merit will be taken into consideration while awarding the scholarship. Applicants must possess, or anticipate obtaining, the international equivalent of a first-class honors degree from the UK.

The GREAT China, India, and Nigeria scholarship application deadline is March 30, 2023, at 23:59 BST.
The GREAT Turkey and Vietnam scholarship application deadline is May 1 at 23:59 BST.
Applicants must have submitted an admissions application to the University of Edinburgh in order to access the scholarship application portal. Be aware that it may take up to five working days after an application for admission has been submitted for all system checks to be finished and access to be granted.
