Deadline for Applications: February 25, 2023 | The World Food Forum (WFF) Youth Focal Points Group is accepting applications.
The first cohort for the years 2022–2024. Was developed by the World Food Forum (WFF) Youth Action Track Focal Points Group (FPG). Which included 12 young leaders from throughout the world.
This group’s mission is to develop youth policy positions on food and agricultural issues. And to coordinate regional activities. It also provides strategic guidance for upcoming major events. And the Youth Action Assembly during the WFF flagship event. Which is held at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy, in October of each year.
The 2022 headline event gave young people the chance. To discuss with decision-makers how to ensure that more kids have access to healthy meals. More finance, equitable representation of people from diverse parts of the world. In discussions, and capacity building were some of the main messages.
Requirements for The World Food Forum (WFF) Youth Focal Points Group
- Are you trying to find a method to advance your profession while speaking up about food and agriculture? Then you should take advantage of this WFF volunteer leadership opportunity!
- The Focal Points Group is currently accepting applications from persons between the ages of 18 and 35.
As instructed by the Assembly, the Focal Points Group serves as a body that directs the WFF Youth Mechanism’s strategic course. Every Focal Point acts in the WFF Youth Mechanism’s best interests.
 It consists of representatives and focal points from three groups:
- Person-centric and minority youth stakeholder groups;
- representatives from youth constituencies/counterparts of the UN counterparts and avenues related to the agriculture and food theme; and
- youth/youth groups identified through a public process.
