Brief explanation:
Through the Rotary Foundation Global Grants program, the Rotary Foundation provides funds for scholarships. For one to four academic years, the scholarships pay for graduate-level coursework or research.
Institution(s) hosting:
*Any accredited university outside the applicant’s native country that is situated in a nation with a host Rotary club or district
Study Level/Field(s):
Graduate-level study or research in one of Rotary’s six priority areas, which are: economic and community development, maternal and child health, water and sanitation, disease prevention and treatment, and peace and conflict prevention/resolution.
Target audience:
Sponsored by a Rotary District or Club: Non-Rotarians
Benefit
A global grant scholarship must have a minimum budget of $30,000 to cover the following: travel costs, vaccinations, and passport/visa costs (as specified in the grant terms and conditions), School materials, tuition, board and lodging, household goods, and language instruction (but not if university admission is contingent on improvement of language skills).
The majority of personal and other costs are not part of the scholarship money.

To find out how to be sponsored for the grant, interested applicants can use the Rotary Club Locator to get in touch with their neighborhood Rotary clubs.
Online applications for international grants are accepted. The initial application is created by the sponsor clubs or districts, and the scholar applicant then completes the online scholar profile.
Applications for global grant scholarships are accepted continuously throughout the year, but in order to give the Foundation enough time to examine and process them, they should be submitted at least three months before the scholar’s scheduled departure date. Every Rotary Club and District may have their own unique timetable.
