About the Scholarship for Deloitte One Young World in 2023.
We must cooperate to create a better, more sustainable future for people and the earth in light of the world’s increasingly complicated difficulties.
The climate crisis is one of these issues that has to be addressed immediately. It is crucial that, while the globe continues to recover from the epidemic, we do not simply revert to our previous practices. Instead, we must seize this opportunity to build multifaceted, creative solutions to combat climate change and fulfill the goals of the Paris Agreement.
But in order to protect the planet’s future, we must also make sure that it is a future in which the following generation is prepared to face the difficulties that will arise. The key to enabling people, nations, and society to meet the problems of future is investing in education and skills. However, due to educational disparity, 800 million young people are expected to lack even the most fundamental skills needed to succeed in the job by 2030. This holds back millions of people around the world.
Deloitte firmly believes that it is our duty to create a better, more sustainable future where each person is empowered, uplifted, and capable of realizing their full potential. By 2030, we want to increase possibilities for 100 million more people worldwide through our strategic programs WorldClass and WorldClimate, and to combat climate change both inside and outside of our organization.
We are pleased to support the Deloitte One Young World Scholarship 2023, which will enable 5 exceptional young leaders to attend the One Young World Summit in Belfast, United Kingdom, on October 2–5, 2023. As a longtime partner of One Young World, we are glad to do so.
This scholarship is designed for young leaders who are committed to overcoming these obstacles by either lowering climate change’s causes and consequences or enhancing chances for education, skill development, and access in their local communities, nations, or the entire world.

• Create chances for people to learn new skills or pursue lifelong learning in order to prepare for the workforce of the future, including in fields where talent is in short supply.
