Participate right away in FCDO’s call for proposals. A commissioning center and results platform are being established, and the FCDO is seeking ideas by November 11th, 2022. As a result, FCDO research can be delivered more quickly and efficiently, increasing the effect and return on investment of R&D investments.
To enhance operational delivery and value for money of FCDO research, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is establishing an accountable grant competition. Up to £25 million spent over the course of five years to construct a commissioning center in order to accomplish this.
On the basis of lessons learned and best practices from other government departments that fund research as well as the broader industry, it will also test and build a simplified commissioning procedure for the delivery of research in FCDO priority areas. While embracing its current sectoral relationships and thematic research platforms, FCDO will maintain complete control over the study’s scope and methodology.
