RECOVERING THOSE WHO ARE REVISING THE SCRIPT AND REEXAMINING HOW WE LIVE AND WHAT PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT MEAN – SDG Action Awards 2022
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Action Awards are seeking for projects that mobilize, inspire, and connect people to take action toward a more sustainable future on a healthy planet.
This year, we’re also searching for individuals – changemakers who, through their actions, inspire and empower others.
We’re inviting people and organizations from all across the world to contribute their transformational tales through an open application process. The impact of the method, the transformative character of the technique, and the replicability or potential for scale will all be evaluated, with the winners chosen by a panel of distinguished judges.
Finalists and winners will be honored at a special event in Bonn, Germany, in September, during the UN General Assembly and the Global Week to #Act4SDGs, and will be featured on UN SDG Action Campaign platforms throughout the year.

INVITE YOU TO APPLY WITH YOUR INITIATIVES
MOBILIZE
Efforts to mobilize hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people to take action in support of the SDGs.
We’re looking for high-impact initiatives, which often entail collaborative and coordinated actions that engage people to change the way the 2030 Agenda is implemented.
INSPIRE
Initiatives that use the power of creativity and/or innovation to encourage a transformation in behavior in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
We’re looking for inspiring campaigns and projects that flip the script and show a positive influence on changing individual behavior and/or national policy.
CONNECT
Initiatives that bring together a diverse range of stakeholders, bridging the gap between individuals and institutions, in order to accelerate progress toward the SDGs.
We’re looking for efforts that change the way people, organizations, and institutions interact with one another in order to increase commitments and accountability for the SDGs.

To #FlipTheScript implies to take a different path with a different plot. One in where the climate problem does not spell the end of humanity. Because humanity will find a way to resolve the climate catastrophe. And where the notion that girls can’t make a difference in the world is banished for good. We realize that without girls, the world will not change.

To participate in a contest, first register and complete each portion of the application form. Each time you visit, you can save and change your application. You will no longer be able to make changes to your application once it has been submitted. The top entries will include clear supporting evidence, such as images and videos, as well as endorsements from your initiative’s participants.
