Apply for the Mo Ibrahim Foundation Leadership Fellowship 2022 at International Trade Centre. In order to prepare African youths for leadership of major organizations and multilateral institutions, the Fellowship provides a mentorship experience with the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director of ITC.

Under the guidance and supervision of the Chief Adviser to the Executive Director the successful Fellow will:

Carryout applicable research as needed;

Contribute to the design, development and application of strategies for successful Public-Private Partnerships and generation of resources;

Contribute to the creation and application of strategic assignments connected to trade development including private sector matters plus particular challenges of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs);

Take part in high-level discussions and preparation of applicable briefing notes and working documentation as needed;

Take on other duties as assigned and needed.

Eligibility

Applicants should be below 40 years old at the time of application (women with children should be below 45 years old)

Applicants must hold African nationality.

Advanced  English. Knowledge of other UN official languages specifically Spanish or French in an asset.

Master’s degree in business international development, economics, international relations or related area.

Preferred Knowledge and Skill

Knowledge of strategic planning and governance;

Having the potential to interpret and examine complex concepts and data;

Knowledge of international trade development and trade connected development assistance (TRTA);

Ability to communicate effectively and interact with individuals at all levels and different multicultural backgrounds;

Strong research and writing skills.
