Trigyn has a constitutional opportunity as a Communication Logistic Assistant. The resource will be working for our client in Mali.

Job Description:

Within assigned power and under supervision of the Logistics Officer (G5 Sahel Logistics Coordination Cell), the Logistics Assistant will be in charge of the duties below:

In close cooperation with Logistics Officer, offer the necessary support to the resupply convoys, transportation and deliveries to G5 Sahel State appointed locations.

Offer inputs for supply connected items requisitioning and delivery.

Coordinate provision of logistics supports and maintain suitable records, including associated costs.

Organizes and coordinates support to compulsory training for the G5 Sahel uniformed personnel at appointed locations within the G5 Sahel States. Maintains training schedules and gives regular reports to the Logistics Officer.

Screen, inspect G5 Sahel requests for logistics support and provide his/her recommendation for acceptance.

Takes part in monitoring the delivery of supplies, through physical existence, during receiving and inspection of deliveries provided to contingents in designated approved locations, including areas where client is not represented.

Helps with the preparation of presentations to the Headquarter Committee, Senior Management Team on G5 Sahel support and reporting affairs.

Provides inputs for the database used by client to monitor G5 Sahel particular logistics reports.

Short newly deployed G5 Sahel military staff officers on logistics connected processes and applicable client guidelines.

In partnership with Liaison Officer, regularly reviews G5 Sahel cost estimates for input into budget reporting and dilidently monitors expenditures and funding allocations to G5 Sahel.

Carries out any other duties as needed.

Desired and Optional knowledge and experience

Experience within the context of logistics operations in military,  humanitarian relief, emergency management peace keeping or disaster relief operation is desirable.

At least of seven (7) years of experience in managing and coordinating multi-functional support logistics operations or connected areas is needed.

Experience in offering logistics and supply chain support services in a volatile, complex, conflict or post-conflict environment is needed.

Educations and Trainings

A University degree in logistics, supply chain management, transport management business administration or similar is needed.

Language

Fluency in Arabic and French, both writing and speaking is needed.

Working knowledge of the English language is desired.
